How we compare

The short version

We compare companies on plain, checkable facts, and we put the official source next to each one. Payment never buys a place on a list, an order, or a kind word. We don't take money from the companies we describe. If that ever changes, we'll say so on this page and on the page where it happens, before any paid link goes live.

What we compare on

We stick to facts you could look up yourself: what type of company it is, who owns it, how it sells (through its own agents, independent agents, or online), what products it offers, and where to check its license and financial-strength rating. We link the source for each.

What we don't do

We don't rank companies "best to worst," because the right company depends on your health, age, budget, and what you need the policy to do. We don't show quotes or premiums, because real pricing is individually underwritten and we can't honestly print a number as if it were an offer. And we don't collect your name, email, or phone number, so nothing here can be sold as a sales lead.

Where our facts come from

We rely on primary sources: the National Association of Insurance Commissioners (NAIC), your state's Department of Insurance, the company's own official pages, and neutral references like the Insurance Information Institute. Ratings and company details change, so every comparison carries a "last updated" date and points you to the live source to confirm before you act.

How we handle mistakes

If something here is wrong, we want to fix it. Email contact@lifeinsuranceapply.com. We check every report against the original source and correct what needs correcting. When we make a meaningful fix, we note it rather than quietly changing the page.
